Price Change for Some Generic Medications

Effective May 25th, 2010, you may notice a modest increase in the cost of certain generic medications. 

Please note that your copay amounts will NOT be affected. Upcoming changes will only affect medications with prices that previously fell BELOW their existing copay tiers.

This is not a change in the Iowa Health System insurance copay plan and the tiers will remain at $10/$30/$45 for a one month supply or $20/$60/$90 for a 3 month supply. You may review the 2010 Principal Formulary  for information about drug costs and copay tier levels.

Patients that have another insurance plan will need to contact their respective insurance company to review copays.
